Directions & Travel Information

PLANE - The New York City metropolitan area is served by three major airports: Newark International, La Guardia, and JFK International.
 

CAR - Located at the Southern tip of Manhattan 10 blocks north of Ground Zero, off the West Side Highway North or the FDR Drive South. Parking is very limited and typically expensive in NYC, but free street parking is available after 6 PM weekdays and all day on Saturday, Sunday and Holidays. See attached Map. Public transportation is our recommendation. (see MetroCommute for NYC traffic conditions).
 

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION - There are a variety of ways to reach the Gallery by public transportation, by taxi, dial car service, subway, bus or water ferry.

  • The 7th Avenue 1 & 9 trains to Franklin Street Station, exiting at the N. Moore stairs, walk one and one-half blocks west to #55.
  • The 8th Avenue A, C & E trains to Canal Street, Walker Street exit, walk West one block to West Broadway, South one block to N. Moore and two and one-half blocks to #55.
  • On the East side, take the Lexington Avenue line to Canal Street Station and walk West on White Street to the end where N. Moore Street begins.
  • For additional information, please contact the MTA New York City Transit Authority at (718) 330-1234 for subway and bus directions to the Gallery.
  • Railroads terminate at either Penn Station or Grand Central Station, take the Subway from either station (fullsize subway map).
  • Ferry from New Jersey. Please contact the ferry company at (212) 269-5755 for ferry schedules and parking information if you are coming from New Jersey. The gallery is a 10 minute walk north of the ferry terminal at World Financial Center Batter Park.

Weather & Climate - Temperatures in the New York City metropolitan area average 80-95 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer. The spring and autumn in New York City are fairly mild with temperatures ranging from the mid 50s to mid 70s. The temperature range in the winter months can be extreme. Visitors are advised to check local weather forecasts closer prior to their intended visits.
